Holiday Cheer!

We have done several crafts and have a very decorated classroom! Hope you enjoy the pictures.
Thank you Cheryl Larick for helping us make gingerbread cookies!
We finally found them, after they ran away.

We did an elf project, telling how we are nice.  We have a magic elf in our classroom that leaves us a message each day about the holidays and thinking of others.

Our reindeer and stockings are hung in the window.

We made a nutcracker with the wonderful Mrs.Espinosa!

Holiday trees and our cute little faces made into a reindeer.

I wanted to share my granddaughter in her first program. Littlest angel!

Bingo with beginning sounds and the Lakeshore mystery box.

Tossing apple bean bags into baskets and counting our points.
Then we played the apple letter sound game.

A Very Busy Week

We had a very busy week last week.  We welcomed parent volunteers, our music teacher and Mrs.Ott, the teacher on assignment.
Mr.Freeman visits once a week to teach us about music and sing songs.
We always have fun!

Mrs.Ott is a special teacher that works at Mariposa once a week. She comes into the classroom
and does demonstration lessons that are engaging and fun. We learned about
text features.

TLC lessons with the wonderful Kaye Espinosa. She is Ava's grandma and taught kindergarten
in Redlands for many years.  We are so excited to have her come once a week to do a lesson.
We are learning to listen and follow directions. She also teaches us about shapes and we create art projects.
I love how creative the projects are and how they are all different.

Making the very hungry caterpillar.

We Rocked the First day of Kindergarten!

We had a wonderful first day! We talked about classroom rules and
read a story about Owl and his first day.  Everyone loved the
Pete the Cat stories.  After reading, we found a note from Pete
and went for a hunt to find him.  He left us a color sheet and our
Pete the Cat hats.  We started to learn about the letter Aa,
you can see the papers and book that came home.
Have your child keep the book in a special box
to practice reading at home.
Enjoy the pictures of our darling class!
